Chris and CJ Schrunk from Kwik Trip are joined by Josh Osterman and Bill Patton from Discover Mediaworks to discuss the documentary episode of Discover Wisconsin all about Kwik Trip that is debuting on October 5th (Find how to watch here!). They talk about concept of the episode, how to tell as much of the Kwik Trip story in 22 minutes, a few of the behind-the-scenes logistics, and how this episode differs from many of the other Discover Wisconsin episodes that have been airing for years.

Recorded in-person at Lambeau Field, Chris sat down with Green Bay Packers linebacker Rashan Gary to talk about transitioning into becoming a veteran into the NFL, his time at the University of Michigan and the locker room rivalries between alma maters, what cold games on the Frozen Tundra really feel like, being welcomed in Wisconsin, and what his hashtag #PutCheeseOnEverything really means. 
 

13: Workin’ at the Car Wash | Shannon Jandt

Chris and McKenna are joined by Shannon Jandt, a Project Coordinator with Kwik Trip within the Store Engineering department, who teaches us all about car washes! We learn about what goes in to adding car washes to our stores, the science involved with the different soaps and waters, the efficiency and environmental enhancements that have been made recently, and what might be coming up on the car wash horizon. Shannon also shares some secrets about when the best time of day to get a car wash is, and how exactly the scent of our car wash came to be. 

12: There’s Nothing Quite Like State Fair Food | Jen Puente

Chris and McKenna were LIVE at Kwik Trip Day at the Wisconsin State Fair with Jen Puente, Chief Marketing Officer at the Fair, talking about her 20-plus years working for the State Fair. Jen shares what it takes to pull off 11 days of fun, her experience getting engaged on stage during a Salt-N-Pepa concert, a plan of attack for eating at the Fair, plus the balance of bringing in new innovation into the State Fair while still keeping old traditions alive.
NOTE: We did broadcast live at the Fair on 8/12/22 and we did get a bit of feedback from the PA system we were hooked into, but we hope you still enjoy!

11: This Podcast is Bananas | Don Cada

Chris and Kendra chat with Don Cada, Category Manager at Kwik Trip in charge of all of the produce that comes into the stores, but specifically, bananas (which are on sale for 29¢/lb now through Sept. 5). They talk about how bananas became synonymous with the Kwik Trip brand, the sheer volume of bananas that come in from Guatemala every day, the infamous banana ripening room, and answer some banana questions submitted via social media.

10: Live from Lambeau with a Legend | Wayne Larrivee

Chris sits down with Green Bay Packers play-by-play announcer Wayne Larrivee about growing up as a Packers fan in Massachusetts, his career path that eventually landed him in Wisconsin, and what he thinks it is that makes Lambeau Field and the Green Bay community so special. They chat about the Bart Starr era, some of his favorite stadiums around the league, calling Super Bowl XLV in Dallas, and what he's looking forward to most about the upcoming season.

09: All Things Flugtag | Paige Forde & Rick Verthein

Chris is first joined by Paige to discuss the upcoming Red Bull Flugtag event that Kwik Trip is sponsoring (July 16th at Veteran's Park in Milwaukee!), including the KT Banana Crew that will be piloting a craft in the event and her role as a Flugtag judge. We're then joined by Rick Verthein, captain of the "Team America" craft competing at Flugtag, about the dads in his neighborhood banding together to make an airplane, plus the great cause - Kids for Vets - that his team is raising money and awareness for. 

08: Previewing the KT250 at Road America | John Ewert

Chris and McKenna chat with John Ewert, the communications director at Elkhart Lake's Road America, about the upcoming Kwik Trip 250 on Sunday, July 3rd. They chat about NASCAR coming back to Wisconsin, the unique experience that Road America presents to drivers and fans alike, and set a record for Kwik Trip product plugs along the way.

Chris and McKenna sit down with Paul Servais, the Retail Food Service Director at Kwik Trip, to talk about his 20-year career with the company and how the food program has evolved over the past two-plus decades. Paul shares insight on all things fried chicken, reminisces about Chunka Lunka cookies, and settles the tornaydo vs. tornahdo debate once and for all.
